IF I AM THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA
First thing I’d love to do is unbundle Nigeria…..FISCAL FEDERALISM or if you like, RESTRUCTURING.
I fear that until the above is done, we may not move forward. I opine so because our present centralized system makes external control (neo-colonialism) too easy, slows down growth within the States as so many economic components of the polity are enveloped in the so called exclusive list.
2. Technical Education: after I unbundle Nigeria, my next attention will go to technical education. This is to aid the development of home grown technologies as this is the only way to grow our manufacturing sector, raise the Naira’s value, bridge our import/export gap and create jobs….imagine that all the mini buses, keke(tricycles) are made in Nigeria, imagine that the vehicles used by our security agencies are made in Nigeria, that the President’s car is a Nigerian Brand….yes it is possible if the best brains are in the technical schools (state of the art….with teachers sorted from amongst the best Nigerian brains and maybe the Chinese, Japanese and Indians at take off before eventual full take over by Nigerians….pay the Nigerians like university lecturers to encourage them) from SS1- SS3 with emphasis on manufacturing….at graduation, establish Polytechnic Universities and Let their innovations and creations be commercialized and domesticated for use.
If the two are done, corruption would have been reduced as the Federal Government would’ve become smaller and the office of President would become less attractive and less powerful.
If we grow our technology locally, we’d stop playing catch up, jobs would be created as manufacturing would be full swing

To me, if I am to advice the President, i will first of all advice him on diversification of the economy from Oil based economy to something more meaningful. Like Agriculture, IT, Automobile, Solid Minerals etc. If the economy is diversified, we will not be talking of how to borrow to find our budget when the price of crude drops. When that is achieved, i will advice him on resource control. Which is similar to ur own advice earlier. In this system, States will be encouraged to develop whatever resources the Found in the States, make profit out of it and send a certain percentage to the Federal. That will reduce the over burden on the central and each stop state waiting for end of the month to collect allocation from the Center and return to state. When resource control is achieved, then we shall talk of decentralizing the Police. Encourage stage police and community Policing.
These few steps will empower the States and the resources from the various States will be utilised fully.

As a PRESIDENT I would fight against “Religious discrimination and chauvinism” as difficult as it seemsđ, but with great service of defense for human rights… For me, my understanding of ‘RELIGION’ is simply a way of reaching out and getting closer to the creator, thou ,we’ all practising it differently. Why this is important to the nation is because ‘RELIGION is used as a formidable vehicle against societal injustice and violence, against oppression and exploitation, against all that dehumanise God’s children(Christians,Islams,Buddhist etc). For me positivism of religion is a way forward in Nation building… My humble contributionđ

My focus as President will be on
1. Human Capital Development. Our country people are crying that we keep bringing foreigners to do jobs and so they created local content. The role of the local content is to ensure those thar are qualified get the job first. Unfortunately, there are some skills that need direct government intervention in training. When I was in the Oil and Gas industry, there was a job that lacked man power, most OIC give it foreigners. The job of remote equipment operators. You need to train with the manufacturer to do so. There are numerous examples. If ITF, NSITF, NDE and PTDF is working properly, over 100,000 Nigerians can gain technical skills.
2. Education. While we can argue for technical or vocational, great countries have invested alot in Research and Development. Most graduate in Microbiology have not seen what a Covid-19 test kit look like while in school. 30% of my budget will go to R and D in Schools.
3. Technology. The world is shifting to complex IoT but we have little or no State owned or Country Owned Companies involved in building our backbone IoT. Rather, we took it from Ericsson and gave it to Huawei. This is also related to Human Capital.
4. Ease of doing business. In Isreal, there are over 15 millionaires almost every month. There are 5th in world when you compare millionaires to population. They have an idea lab and funding system. Our similar agency is BOT with 90% bottlenecks and bureaucracy, your ideas will die before you finish first step.
5. Agriculture. The UK and Australia are projecting a short fall in greens this year because acres of farms are lacking close to 200,000 part time farmers. The World Food Program is trying to step in. Nigeria have mutated our farming programs that it is now North base. However, urban and vertical farming can be done in all locations. I will bring back the School to Farm programs and create More farm roads in the country.
6. Youth Participation in Politics, I will strengthen the SUG, NANS, NYCN, LTGYF, NYP, YAN with Ministry of Youths as a breeding ground for Leadership Training.
7. Inclusive Governance, I will work with the National Assembly and Judiciary to repeal laws that provide regional segregation, ethnic disparity, gender inequality etc.
There is alot that the President can do. These are the few.
